Senior Asset Manager
Emma Capital Investments Inc. is currently seeking a talented, highly motivated individual for the position of Senior Asset Manager/Director Level. The role will be largely focused on managing multi-family residential complexes located within the Sun Belt and Midwestern states of the US.
Position Summary: The Senior Asset Manager will be directly responsible for overseeing Emma Capital’s multi-family properties in select regions, while ensuring that communities are efficiently managed for profitability and value appreciation.
The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in the real estate industry and asset management. Strong analytical and financial skills are required as well as the ability to execute creative strategies that maximize asset value and investor returns.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee US property management companies to ensure property performance is effectively maximized
- Ensure properties are in compliance with lender requirements, reporting and in overall good standing
- Identify and recommend property level value enhancements within the portfolio
- Prepare asset specific strategies including major capital upgrades, strategic renovations and asset repositioning that maximize the income profile and value of each asset
- Complete various financial reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, including annual budget plans for each property
- Participate in the acquisition and disposition process for portfolio assets
- Implement best practices and develop new policies and/or procedures to streamline work flow across the properties
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on new industry developments and trends that may impact asset strategy within respective markets
- Work cross-functionally with other team members and departments to ensure alignment with the company’s goals and investment philosophy
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements:
- Post-secondary degree, preferably in Business or Finance
- A minimum of 5-7 years of professional work experience in asset management or related fields
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
- Advanced understanding of real estate valuation methods
- Proficient software application skills including Microsoft Office
- Ability to travel in the USA

Financial Analyst

THE OPPORTUNITY:
- We are looking for an Analyst or Associate to work alongside Emma Capital’s investment and asset management teams on all aspects of acquisitions, dispositions, portfolio/asset management, development and financing

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Work closely with investment and asset management colleagues to i) underwrite and acquire attractive investment opportunities, and ii) improve the value of our portfolio through rigorous asset management
- Evaluate potential investments, developments and dispositions using excel
- Perform market research to evaluate demographics, supply/demand fundamentals, micro/macro economic drivers, and local market characteristics in order to evaluate the viability of new investments
- Assist in the preparation of investment memorandums and presentation materials
- Assist in portfolio and asset management activities, including financing, business planning, dispositions, and analysis of various capital-investment opportunities
- Other analysis and projects as required
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Undergraduate (or graduate) degree from a competitive program in finance, accounting, business, economics, math or engineering, or completion/pursuit of a professional designation (e.g. CA, CPA, CFA)
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in real estate (real estate company, developer, valuation, brokerage), accounting or finance (investment banking or lending)
- Excellent critical thinking, financial modeling, and valuation skills
- Rigorous attention to detail
- Positive and collaborative attitude.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively to meet tight deadlines

Emma Capital Investments (“Emma Capital”) is a real estate private equity business focused on the acquisition, asset management and development of multi-family residential assets across the Southern and Midwest regions of the United States.
Emma Capital is seeking to hire a real estate professional to support the continued growth of the business, with a focus on the asset management of multi-family residential assets in the United States. The position reports to the COO of Emma Capital.
